Further Information:
This species of butterfly is on the wing all year round, usually found in wooded areas as opposed to bare ground / open plains. It is mostly attracted to Lantana flowers and Orange Tree blossoms; larvaea feed on Nettles ,as the Maltese name suggests, and also on Pellitory-of-the-Wall. This species is relatively common.
